Sound Quality
This speaker puts out crisp clear sound. The bass is also very impressive for it’s size. I had excellent sound quality with all types of music, I was very impressed with just how impressive the sounds were from a unit of it’s size. The Bose name goes a long way as far as sound quality goes, from what I’ve experienced anyways.
Portability and Battery Life:
This unit is small enough that it can fit in most backpacks, or an over-sized purse. The battery charging cable comes with a wall adapter but it can also be charged via USB. The unit will charge in less than an hour, but you can charge it while playing music as well. It just will not charge as quickly. Like I said earlier in this article, I typically get around 8 hours of battery life. Which is very impressive compared to other portable speakers I’ve tested.
Appearance
The Soundlink III is sleek. The case of the unit is very smooth, and has rounded corners. Overall I wouldn’t say it’s the most beautiful looking device in the world, it looks pretty standard, I really think the performance is where the device shines. The durability on the other hand is pretty great. It’s east to take with you because of it’s size.
Ease of Use
To set the speaker up, it literally takes less than 2 minutes. You can also do it while your charging the battery the first time. The instructions are spoken to you so it’s pretty simple and easy to follow. Then all you have to do is get your Bluetooth device to recognize the speaker and your good to go. It’s as easy as that. Once it recognizes the device for the first time, it will always remember it and connect to it when it is within range.
